USING YOUR ANSWERING MACHINE

The answering machine records unanswered calls when it is activated. It can store up to 59
messages within the maximum recording time of 14 minutes. Each message can be up to 4
minutes long. Your personal outgoing messages can be up to 1.5 minutes long.
8.1
Play Messages
In idle:
1. Press <Play/Stop>.
2. The new messages are played from the loudspeaker on the base station in the sequence they
are recorded.
3. During message playback, press below keys to perform the following functions:
<Play/Stop>: Press to stop playing messages or resume playback.
<Skip Backward>: Press once to replay current message from the beginning. Press twice
to playback the
<Skip Forward>: Skip to play the next message.
<Delete>: Delete the current message.
<Up>: Increase the loudspeaker volume by one level (1 to 8).
<Down>: Decrease the loudspeaker volume by one level (1 to 8).

Delete All Messages
1. Press and hold <Delete> on base to erase all read messages (applicable only when messages
in answering machine are all read, new message(s) will not be deleted.)
8.3
Announcement
This is the message your callers hear on the answering machine. There is only one pre-recorded
outgoing messages in Answer and Record mode, and you can record your own.
Press and hold to start recording the personalized announcement of the current answer mode
after hearing a long beep. Release key to stop recording.

Memo
You could record your own message in the base answering machine.
Press and hold to start recording a memo after hearing a long beep. Release key to stop memo
recording.

Set the answer delay
1. Press MENU/SELECT when in idle mode to enter the feature menu.
2. Use DIR / CID to scroll to >SETUP BS.
3. Press MENU/SELECT and DIR / CID to select >ANSWER DELAY.
4. Press MENU/SELECT and DIR / CID to select TOLL SAVER, 2 RINGS, 4 RINGS or 6 RINGS.
5. Press MENU/SELECT to save your preference and return to the feature menu.
NOTE
If Toll Saver setting is selected, the answering machine will pick up after two rings if there are
new messages and after four rings if there are no messages.
8.6
Turn on/off the message alert
If the message alert is turned on, the base will give a short alert beep at the speaker volume set,
when there is a new message recorded on the answering machine.
1. Press MENU/SELECT when in idle mode to enter the feature menu.
2. Use DIR / CID to scroll to >SETUP BS.
3. Press MENU/SELECT and DIR / CID to select >MESSAGE ALERT.
4. Press MENU/SELECT and DIR / CID to select ON or OFF.
