Battery performance
When the batteries are fully
charged the battery
indicator will display green
bars. To keep your
batteries in the best
condition, leave the
handset off the base for a
few hours at a time (after
the initial 16 hour charge).
Please note however, that
new NiMH batteries do not
reach full capacity until they
have been in normal use
for several days.
The charge capacity of
rechargeable batteries will
reduce with time as they
wear out, thereby reducing
the talk and standby time of
the handset. Eventually
the batteries may need to
be replaced.
Getting Started

Setting Up

1. Plug the power cable into the base.
2. Plug the AC power adapter into an
electrical wall outlet
3. Insert the 2 x AAA NiMH batteries
supplied into the handset, paying
attention to the polarity. Slide the
battery compartment cover into place.
4. Charge the handset for at least 16 hours
by placing it on the base. The red
"CHARGE" light is on when the handset
is in the charger and stays on even after
the batteries are fully charged.
5. After 16 hours, plug the telephone line
cord into the wall socket and your
T1960 telephone is now ready for use.
