6 CONTROLS 6.18 Choke Choke is fitted on the left side of the carburetor. Activating the choke function frees a drill hole in the carburetor through which the engine can draw extra fuel. 8 PREPARING FOR USE Starting power of lithium-ion batteries at low temperatures (All AU/US models) Lithium-ion batteries are far lighter than lead batteries, have a low self-discharge rate, and have more starting power at temperatures over 15 °C (60 °F). At low temperatures, however, the starting power of lithium-ion batteries drops to below that of lead batter- ies.
