General information General information Reading and storing the user manual This user manual accompanies this panini press and grill. It contains important information on start-up and handling. For improved readability, the panini press and grill will be referred to only as the “grill” below. Before using the grill, read the user manual carefully. -

Safety Safety Proper use The grill is only designed for grilling food. It is only intended for private use and not suitable for commercial purposes. Only use the grill as described in this user manual. Using it in any other way is deemed improper and may result in damage to property or even personal injury. - Page 9 Safety − Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment. − Do not open the housing; instead, have a qualified professional perform repairs.

First use First use Checking the grill and pack contents NOTICE! Risk of damage! If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a sharp knife or other pointed object, you may damage the grill. − Therefore, be careful when opening it. 1. -

Operation Operation WARNING! Scalding/burn hazard! The grill emits hot steam when opened and when in use. Parts of the grill become hot. − Do not touch the hot parts of the grill with bare fingers during operation. Always use heat-insulated oven gloves or oven mitts to take hold of the grill and all accessories. -

Operation The middle of the back part of the grill plate is designed to not get as hot as the rest of the grill plate. Therefore place food with shorter cooking times there. You can use the grill to grill food on one or both sides. Grilling on both sides is suitable for thicker foods such as meat, fish and sandwiches. -

Operation Grilling food on one side is set to “OFF” (see fig. A). 1. Make sure that the temperature control dial 2. Insert the power plug in an easily accessible socket. Seguridad Seguridad Uso apropiado La parrilla está concebida exclusivamente para asar alimentos. Sólo está prevista para uso privado, no para el ámbito industrial. Utilice la parrilla sólo como se describe en este manual del usuario. Cualquier otro uso se considera inapropiado, y puede provocar daños materiales o incluso personales. - Page 26 Seguridad − No utilice ningún equipo con el cable o enchufe dañado, o si funciona mal o está dañado de alguna manera. Envíe el equipo al servicio técnico autorizado más cercano para que lo examine, repare o ajuste. − No abra la carcasa, sino deje que las eventuales reparaciones sean efectuadas por técnicos especializados.

Manejo Durante la primera utilización pueden generarse olores e incluso humo. Eso es normal, y sólo dura un momento. Procure suficiente ventilación. 1. Retire el material de embalaje y todas las láminas de protección. 2. Limpie todas las piezas de la parrilla como se describe en el capítulo “Limpieza”. - Page 32 Manejo ¡ADVERTENCIA! ¡Riesgo de quemaduras! Las placas de la parrilla y otras partes de la misma siguen estando calientes tras la desconexión de la parrilla de la red eléctrica, hasta el punto de que podría sufrir quemaduras. − Antes de iniciar la limpieza, deje que la parrilla se enfríe por completo. -
