SCOUTING TRAIL CAMERA EASY SETUP GUIDE
Model: S680M
Needed: 8xAA alkaline or 8xAA rechargeable batteries, see manual where to fit. important
note: you have to select the battery type you choose to use in the menu. you can also
choose to use a solar panel. if a solar panel will be used, please make sure there are no
batteries in the unit as this will cause permanent damage to the camera!
SIM Card: a micro SIM card is needed and not a standard or NANO SIM. please load with
airtime if you want to use mms and data bundle, if you want to use SMTP (email to email).
(note: mms bundles will not work and please ask the provider of the SIM card (Vodacom,
MTN, Cell C) to activate the mms function on the SIM card before you leave the shop.
Camera: you have 4x flip switches on the back of the camera: the left one is "on and off",
next to it is "camera/video camera" (leave this one on camera). On the right you have
"19/40" (black led flash) for inside select 19 and outside or large areas use 40) the last one
on the right is the "GPRS on and off"
Start setup and use as indicated below:
Please follow the next settings as it will ensure the working of the camera. make sure that
the antennae is fastened and the GPRS switch is "on".
Switch the camera "on", allow 2 seconds and press the "ok button" once.
This will start up the display LCD screen of the camera.
Please wait until you can see what the camera is pointing at, and is displaying it on the LCD
screen.
You will find on the left side of the screen vertical stripes from short to long indicating signal
strength (if you have a working SIM card in the camera)
Now press the "m"(menu) button once. you will now have the menu open.

Mail Password: enter the password for the above email address that you created. You have to set the security access to this email account on Gmail to allow less secure devices to access this email account! this is in the security setup of Gmail.
