Do you have a question about the XC40 and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
I’m not getting any sound from my media centre ( still looks ok, just no sound) also no sound from indicators.
The issue of no sound from the media center and indicators in the Volvo XC40 appears to be a recurring problem reported by multiple owners. The problem can cause the stereo, turn signal sounds, and other audio functions to stop working temporarily. Some users found that the issue resolved itself after turning off the vehicle and locking it for a few minutes. Others noted that it might happen after an OTA update or during normal driving. Restarting the vehicle or waiting for a reset seems to restore sound functionality.

the car will not start the key is not recognised it says see owners manual
Your Volvo XC40 may not start, and the key may not be recognized for the following reasons:
1. Dead Key Fob Battery – If the key fob battery is dead, the car may not detect the key. In this case, you can start the car by placing the key in the center console’s designated slot and pressing the brake while starting the vehicle.
2. Software Update Issue – If a software update has been downloaded but not installed, it could cause temporary issues with key recognition or locking.
3. Remote-Controlled Immobilizer Activated – If the car displays a message that it is "remotely immobilized," the tracking system has been activated, preventing the car from starting. You may need to contact Volvo On Call Service Centre for assistance.
4. Weak or Interrupted Signal – If the key fob signal is weak due to interference or a low battery, the car may not detect it properly.
To resolve the issue, check the key fob battery, try placing the key in the center console’s key slot, and ensure there are no active immobilizer warnings.
