Replacing a Disk Drive

Two solid state hard disk drives contain the following:

These drives can be removed and replaced if they should fail during operation.
ATTENTION:
Slide the fan straight back into the chassis until the tabs are inserted into the slots
(see figure 68, ). Ensure that the ends of both cables are not trapped behind or

under the fan and are accessible from the front.

When the fan unit is in place, use a tool to tighten the thumbscrew and connect the
two fan cables.
Drive C — Internal operating system and hardware drivers.
Drive D — System configuration data. This drive can also be used to store local
source content, such as image files.
• These drives are NOT hot-swappable and cannot be switched while the unit is
operating. Always power off the Quantum Ultra before removing a drive.
• Ces disques NE sont PAS interchangeables à chaud et il est impossible de les
