    Floor mat installation Use only floor mats designed specifically for vehicles of the same model and model year as your vehicle. Fix them securely in place onto the carpet. Insert the retaining hooks (clips) into the floor mat eyelets. Turn the upper knob of each retaining hook (clip) to secure the floor mats in place.

    Sounds the alarm (press and hold) : This setting must be customized at your Lexus dealer. Smart Access System with Push-button Start The following operations can be performed simply by carrying the electronic key on your person, for example in your pocket. (The driver should always carry the electronic key.) For details on starting the engine, see page 24.

    Engine (Ignition) Switch Performing the following operations when carrying the electronic key on your person starts the engine or changes “START STOP ENGINE” switch modes. ■ Starting the engine Check that the parking brake is set.   • Page 26 ■ If your vehicle has to be stopped in an emergency Only in an emergency, such as if it becomes impossible to stop the vehicle in the normal way, stop the vehicle using the following procedure: Steadily step on the brake pedal with both feet and firmly depress it. Do not pump the brake pedal repeatedly as this will increase the effort required to slow the vehicle.

    Automatic Transmission ■ Shifting the shift lever While the “START STOP ENGINE” switch is in IGNITION ON mode, move the shift lever with the brake pedal depressed. When shifting the shift lever between P and D, make sure that the vehicle is com- pletely stopped.

    Eco Driving Indicator Eco Driving Indicator Light Eco Driving Indicator Light availability can be customized. The default setting is off. During Eco-friendly acceleration (Eco driving), Eco Driving Indicator Light will turn on. When the acceleration exceeds Zone of Eco driving, or when the vehicle is stopped, the light turns off.

    LDA (Lane Departure Alert) (if equipped) While driving on a road that has lane markers, this system recognizes the lane markers using a camera as a sensor to alert the driver when the vehicle deviates from its lane. If the system judges that the vehicle may deviate from its lane, it alerts the driver using beeping and indications on the multi-information display.
