(B) Recording

the built-in
radio
1. Set to RADIO mode.
2. Tune in a desired
station. See "LISTENING
TO THE RADIO".
3. Press (REC).
(PLAY)will
lock down at the
same
time.
Radio
recording
starts.
4. Press (STOP/EJECT)
to stoD recording
at
any time.
When
the end of the tap;
is
reached,
the tape will automatically
stop.
Beat
canel
switch
(BEAT
CANCEL)
When
recording
a radio
program,
an
irritating
" whistling"
sound may sometimes
be heard.
If this occurs,
select
position
1 or 2. Leave
the switch
in the position
that gives the best results.

Cleaning
the tape
heads
For continued
high performance
from the
cassette
section,
periodically
clean
the
heads, pinch roller and capstan whenever an
accumulation
of dust and red-brown
oxide
particles is noticed.
1. Press (STOP/EJECT)
to open the cassette
holder.
2, Press (REC) while pushing in the lever as
illustration.

3. Carefully
rub each head (4,5), pinch roller
(3) and capstan
(2) with a cotton swab (1)
moistened
with isopropyl
alcohol or special
head-cleaning
fluid. (Fig. 11)
Cleaning
the
CD
player
lens (Fig.
12)
If dust is on the lens, blow the dust away by
using a blower.

consult
your dealer)
The lens should never be touched.
However,
if a fingerprint
does
get the lens,
wipe
it
gently by using a cotton swab moistened
with
isopropyl
alcohol.

consult
your
dealer)
CAUTION:
Do not apply excessive
pressure;
you
might damage
the lens.
Apply alcohol
sparingly.
Only a small
amount
is needed.
Use
of too much
alcohol
may cause
some to enter
the
unit, which may cause
damage.
