    1. Plug cord into the percolator base (Fig. 4). 2. Remove lid (Fig. 6), coffee basket, coffee basket lid and tube. 3. Fill the body of the Capresso Perk with cold water to the desired cup level as indicated on the inside of the percolator (Fig. 2).

    Heating Water The Capresso Perk can be used to make hot water for tea, hot cocoa or instant coffee. 1. Plug cord into the percolator base (Fig. 4).

    To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, it is important to decalcify at least every 2-4 months depending on local water hardness. 1. Dissolve 1 oz. (28 g) of Capresso Cleaning Solution (or other descaling agent) with 6 cups. (32 oz) of water and pour mixture into the percolator.

    3. For an optimum coffee taste, buy whole coffee beans and grind just before brewing. Keep unused whole beans in an airtight container in a cool dry place. 4. Always use fresh, cold water in your Capresso Perk. When possible use filtered water for purest flavor.

    Limited One-Year Warranty This warranty covers your Capresso machine, model #405.05 Capresso Perk. The model # can be found on the bottom of the coffee maker. This warranty is in effect for one year from the date of the first consumer purchase. This warranty covers all defects in materials or workmanship (parts and labor).
