PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SHEAVES
Primary sheave spring retainer
nut
90 Nm (9.0 m · kg, 65 ft · lb)
e. Remove the sheave spring compressor,
locknut wrench, and sheave fixed block.

INSTALLING THE PRIMARY AND
SECONDARY SHEAVES
1. Install:
• secondary sheave assembly
• V-belt
• primary sheave assembly
NOTE:
• Tightening the bolts 1 will push the second-
ary sliding sheave away, causing the gap
between the secondary fixed and sliding
sheaves to widen.
• Install the V-belt so that its arrow faces the
direction show in the illustration.
2. Install:
• spacer
• V-belt case cooling fan 1
• primary sheave nut 2
• secondary sheave nut 3
NOTE:
• Install the V-belt case cooling fan with the
"2P5" mark facing outward.
• Use the sheave holder 4 to hold the primary
sheave.
• First, tighten the primary sheave nut 2, then
tighten the secondary sheave nut 3.
