How To Check the Laser Power

1. Set the test mode.
(The CD tray is opened automatically.)
2. To close the CD tray, press the OPEN/CLOSE key.
3. Move the pickup to outward by pressing the TAPE REC key.

Set the senor section
of the optical power
meter on the pickup
lens.
Connect the DC volt-
meter to CN3 (3, 4)
on X32.
Connect an oscillo-
scope as follows.
CH1: RF(CN3, 1)
GND : VC(CN3, 2)

play is "03".
Press the "PLAY" key

Perform the tangential and focusing offset are focused
into one point on the display. The crossing points above
and below the center shall also be looked clearly.
