I cannot get the pedals to work with my feet when tapping but they work when I use my hand to separate the contacts by pulling the top and bottom of respective pedals apart and release. What am I doing wrong?
The Pyle PTED06 pedals may not work with feet but function when manually separated by hand due to their basic construction. The bass drum pedal is described as a small plastic switch with foam inside, which may not register foot pressure effectively. If the pedals are too close together or not firmly secured, pressing with feet may not apply enough accurate pressure to trigger the switch, whereas using hands allows more precise control.
