  • Page 20: General Application Precautions

    Yaskawa offers protective designs for drives that must be used in areas subjected to oil mist and excessive vibration. Contact Yaskawa or your Yaskawa agent for details.
  • Page 21 • If the motor is coasting, make sure the power to the drive is turned on and the drive output has completely stopped before closing the load switch to reconnect the drive to the motor. Wiring Yaskawa recommends using ring terminals on all drive models for UL/cUL compliance. Use only the tools recommended by the terminal manufacturer for crimping. Transporting the Drive NOTICE: Never steam clean the drive.

    PM motor is rotating. • Contact Yaskawa or your Yaskawa agent if you plan to use any PM motor not endorsed by Yaskawa. • When using a holding brake, release the brake prior to starting the motor. Failure to set the proper timing can result in speed loss.
