My earthquake versa 99cc won't crank

The EarthQuake VERSA 20015 SERIES 99cc engine may not crank due to several possible reasons:

1. Spark Plug Issue – Ensure the spark plug cap/wire is securely connected. If the spark plug is faulty or disconnected, the engine won't start.
2. Engine Shutoff – The throttle control or the on/off switch may be set to "OFF." Ensure it is in the correct position.
3. Fuel Problems – Check if there is sufficient fuel in the tank and that it is fresh. Stale fuel can prevent starting.
4. Choke Use – The choke control should not be used to stop the engine, as this can cause backfire or damage that affects restarting.
5. Belt Tension – Incorrect belt tension may prevent proper operation. Ensure the forward belt tension is correctly adjusted.
6. Air Cleaner – Running the engine without the air cleaner installed can cause issues. Ensure the air cleaner is properly in place.
7. Safety Precautions – Ensure all safety procedures are followed, such as disengaging all clutches and placing the control lever in neutral before attempting to start.

Checking these factors can help diagnose why the engine won't crank.

The EarthQuake VERSA 20015 SERIES recommends using a high-quality detergent oil without special additives. The oil level should be checked before starting the engine and should be up to the bottom of the fill plug opening.
