2. Precautions UPDATING iPod FIRMWARE For proper operation of the ISBM72, your iPod must be updated with the most recent version of firmware from Apple. This is done on your computer. To update the software on the iPod go to: http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/.
CD changer cable(3-pin and 6-pin connectors.) Connect the 24-pin connector of the vehicle harness into the ISBM72. 4. Connect the iPod docking cable into the 8-pin port on the side of the ISBM72. 5. Before permanently routing the iPod docking cable through the vehicle to the desired mounting location, power on the factory radio and check for proper opera- tion of the ISBM72.
7. The first time the ISBM72 is accessed, it may take up to three minutes to fully initialize with the radio. Once the interface is recognized, and the radio enters CD changer mode, the iPod will be controllable using the radio’s track forward, and track back buttons.
