Telephone Numbers
The internal telephone number of
your telephone is assigned when
setting up your telephone system.
Signalling on the Call
Keys
The LEDs and symbols on the call
keys signal the following states:
Manual or Automatic External Line

calls.
Externally directed telephones:
telephone is set so that the EXTER-
NAL key is automatically seized
when you go off-hook. You can dial
the external telephone number
immediately. This preferred direc-
tion is set up primarily if you often
need to make external calls.
Internally directed telephones:
going off-hook you automatically
seize your INTERNAL key and can
dial internally immediately. This set-
ting is selected if mainly internal
calls are made.
The preferred direction is set up by
the customer service department on
request.
Line Seizure using Desti-
nation Keys
Dialling with DESTINATION keys is
the same as entering a telephone
number. For all the procedures in
this section therefore, you can use a
DESTINATION key instead of enter-
ing a telephone number.
