Description of Opcodes and their functions

4.3.1 OPCODE 1
(P) Interval Timing between Check calls
Opcode 1 (P) sets the interval timing between check calls. The digit entered in this opcode is dependant on the
number of mobiles used in the system. The value entered should be according to the value given in the 'PS-Micro
Scanning Repeat Assistant' located under 'Channels' in the PS6000 Editor of the LBB 6509 or LBB 6507 software
package.

* The 4.5 second timing between check calls is only meant for field coverage tests (see Chapter 7).
To avoid collision of mobiles that are quasi-synchronized transmitting calls, the check call timing (according table 1)
is implemented as a typical timing with a randomized deviation of ±2 seconds. So a check call every 60 seconds will
be a randomized time of between 58 and 62 seconds with a mean-time of 60 seconds. This randomizing will be
omitted at the field-coverage test (setting 4.5 sec.). The default timings (check call every 2 minutes and 3 call repeti-
tions (Opcode setting 1Q) are suitable for a moderate system with approx. 15 mobiles.
(Q) Call Repetition
Opcode 1(Q) sets the number of times the alarm and status-call is repeated (0 - 15 times). When N = 0,1, 2 or 3 the
call will be repeated three times. The timing of the call repetition is dependent on the address that is programmed in
the mobile. This is done to prevent collision with alarm and location calls initiated simultaneously. This value is also
given in the PS-Micro Scanning Repeat Assistant LBB 6509 or LBB 6507 software package.
