FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM
Symptom
Error is detected while reading or writ-
ing on EEPROM (code re-registering
key code and throttle valve fully
closed notification value).
Power supply to the ECU system relay
is not normal.
Faulty ECU memory. (When this mal-
function is detected in the ECU, the
fault code number might not appear
on the meter.)
After 20 minutes left idling, the ECU
automatically stops the engine.
Engine trouble warning light flashes
when the start switch is turned ON.
Relay is not turned ON even if the
crank signal is input while the start
switch is turned ON.
When the start switch is turned ON
while an error is detected with the
fault code of No.12, 19, 30, 41 or 50.
Symptom
No signals are received from the
ECU.
No signals are received from the ECU
within the specified duration.
Data from the ECU cannot be
received correctly.
Non-registered data has been
received from the meter.

Bike died won't start, Cranks over normal, won't fire up. Fuel pump runs and then shuts off normal, can you get a short run with starting fluid Shot in throttle body throttle open- (believe not getting fuel pressure to run injector?)

Your Yamaha WR250R may not start even though it cranks and the fuel pump runs due to one or more of the following issues:

1. Spark Plug Issue: If the exhaust smells like gas, fuel is reaching the engine, but it may not be igniting. A faulty or fouled spark plug could be the cause.

2. Fuel Injector Problem: The injector could be stuck closed or clogged, especially if the bike sat unused for a long time. A plugged injector inlet filter may also block fuel delivery.

3. Fuel Pressure: Incorrect fuel pressure (too high or too low) can prevent proper engine operation. The WR250R is designed to run at a specific pressure; too high can cause a rich condition, and too low can make it run lean or not start.

4. Electrical Connections: Check the fuel pump connector and other wiring for corrosion or loose connections, especially after long storage.

5. Air-Fuel Mixture: A dirty air filter or clogged fuel system can disrupt the mixture needed for combustion.

Testing the spark plug, swapping components (like the fuel tank), checking fuel pressure, and cleaning the injector are logical next steps.
