Power Ramp Maintenance
Your Power Ramp does not need regular maintenance to operate
properly if you are keeping the ramp free of debris, dirt and ex-
cessive snow or other moisture.
If you are operating the ramp in dusty or snowy areas on a regular
basis, however, you may need to periodically clear the dust and/or
road salt from the ramp fences and duckbill valves.
The duckbill valves allow moisture to drain from the ramp stow-
age area. The valves are located underneath both of the rear
doors, as shown in the illustration below.
To clear a valve, simply squeeze it open to expel the dust or road
salt. The valve will automatically close after it is released.
To clean the ramp fences, deploy the ramp fully so the fences are
up. Starting at the top of the ramp, clear both of the fence tracks
with compressed air.
The Power Ramp should also be inspected by an authorized ser-
vice center whenever indicated in the Maintenance Schedule,
which starts on page 165.
