Your machine is not covered under warranty for faults caused by any kind of external factors (pesticides, fire, etc).

    INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Selecting an area for your new Kleenmaid washing machine To ensure silent and vibration free operation of your machine it should be installed on a non- sliding and firm base. Do not install your machine on carpet or a surface which would prevent airflow to its base.

Any faults occurring in machines which are operated with the transportation screws fitted will not be covered by the warranty. Levelling the machine Your machine must be level and stable at all times in order to operate correctly. It has four adjustable feet (see figure 5) to ensure this is the case.

  • Page 10 Your machine has a single cold water inlet. The white-capped hose should be connected to a cold water tap and to the inlet only. To eliminate water leakages a nut is provided in the hose package. Fit this nut to the end of the supplied inlet hose and connect to a ¾˝, threaded water supply tap.

    Water drain connection The end of the water drain hose can be fitted directly into a dirty water drain hole or clamped to an outlet joint of the basin drain elbow (figure 7). Never attempt to extend the water drain hose by jointing or put the drain hose of your machine in a vessel or bucket.

    The programme knob Use the programme knob to select the programme you want to use. The knob may be rotated in either direction. Ensure that the programme knob indicator mark is exactly on the programme you want to select. For a detailed description of each programme see the table on page 20. The digital display When a programme is selected the digital display will show the default options for that programme and the estimated completion time.

    Mix and Spray allows you to wash larger amounts of laundry in less time and using less energy and water. For better cleaning results with a wider range of fabrics and degrees of staining, Kleenmaid recommends the use of powder detergents.

Night wash programme The night wash programme allows the machine to be operated quietly at night time without any spin stage. When your machine nears the end of the washing operation, it goes into sleep mode and can keep your laundry for a maximum of 10 hours without draining the water remaining inside.

    USING YOUR KLEENMAID WASHING MACHINE Loading the machine Take care to wash items according to the specifications and instructions on the product labels. Separate your laundry according to material type (eg cotton, synthetic, wool etc.), their wash temperature (cold, 30°, 40°, 60°, 90°) and degree of soiling (slightly dirty, dirty and very dirty).

    Adding detergent to the machine Use detergents manufactured for front-load washing machines only and follow the dosing instructions on the packaging. The amount of detergent you use will vary depending on the weight of your laundry, the degree of soiling and the hardness of the water being used. When using fabric softener or conditioners place them in the softener compartment in the detergent drawer.

    Easy ironing function To select this function press the Easy Ironing button. The Easy Ironing symbol will appear in the display to show it is set. Extra rinse function Up to three additional rinses may be added to the programme by selecting this function. Press the extra rinse button and the rinse symbol will appear in the display showing the number of additional rinses that have been selected.

This will open the cover. Before opening the filter place a large shallow tray on the floor in front of the filter cover to prevent water remaining in the machine flowing onto the floor.
