Each configuration has its own pair of stereo front speakers and can use the same subwoofer, center, surround, and surround back speakers, as required.

Use a multichannel analog audio cable, or several normal audio cables, to connect the AV receiver’s MULTI CH: FRONT L/R, CENTER, SURR L/R, SURR BACK L/R, and SUBWOOFER jacks to the 7.1-channel analog audio output on your DVD player.

However, they can learn new com- mands, and you can restore the preprogrammed com- mands at any time by resetting the remote controller (see page 142).

    If you can’t resolve the issue yourself, contact your Onkyo dealer. If you can’t resolve the issue yourself, try resetting the AV receiver before contacting your Onkyo dealer. To reset the AV receiver to its factory defaults, turn it on and, while holding down the [VCR/DVR] button, press the [ON/STANDBY] button.

  • Page 156 Troubleshooting—Continued • With some CD and LD players, you won’t be able to playback DTS material properly even though your player is connected to a digital input on the AV receiver. This is usually because the DTS bitstream has been processed (e.g., output level, sampling rate, or frequency response changed) and the AV receiver doesn’t recognize it as a genuine DTS signal.
