New Voicemail: You have new voicemail. A number
indicates the number of new messages.
New Email Message: You have new email.
Silent Mode/Mute: Voice or playback volume is
muted.
Vibrate: All sounds are silenced, and Vibrate is
active. See "Sound" on page 145.
Bluetooth Active: Bluetooth is turned on.
Wi-Fi Active: Wi-Fi is active, and connected to a
Wi-Fi network.
Wi-Fi Action Needed: Action is needed to connect
to Wi-Fi network. For more information about
configuring Wi-Fi, see "Wi-Fi" on page 124.
You can customize display settings to your preferences. For
more information, refer to "Display" on page 143.

Primary Shortcuts

Primary Shortcuts display at the bottom of each Home
screen.
The default Primary Shortcuts are: Phone, Contacts,
Messaging, Internet, and Apps.
You can change the Phone, Contacts, Messaging, and
Internet application shortcuts to any icon that is displayed in
the Apps menu.

Primary Shortcuts" on page 37.

Other App Shortcuts

There are also other application shortcuts on the main Home
screen, which are: Calendar, Camera, Email, and Play Store.
Application shortcuts can be added to any Home screen. For
more information, refer to "App Shortcuts" on page 36.

Widgets

Widgets are self-contained applications that you can place
on the Home screens to access your favorite features.
When you first turn on your phone, there are various widgets
on the center Home screen. Widgets can be added to all
Home screens.
