Knowing Radio Frequency Safety

The design of your device complies with updated NCRP
standards described below:
In 1991-92, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers (IEEE) and the American National Standards
Institute (ANSI) joined in updating ANSI's 1982 standard for
safety levels with respect to human exposure to RF signals.
More than 120 scientists, engineers and physicians from
universities, government health agencies and industries
developed this updated standard after reviewing the
available body of research.
In 1993, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
adopted this updated standard in a regulation. In August
1996, the FCC adopted a hybrid standard consisting of the
existing ANSI/IEEE standard and the guidelines published by
the National Council of Radiation Protection and
Measurements (NCRP).
For more information about RF exposure, visit the FCC Web
site at www.fcc.gov.

Commercial Mobile Alerting System
(CMAS)
This device is designed to receive wireless emergency alerts
from the Commercial Mobile Alerting System ("CMAS";
which may also be known as the Personal Localized Alerting
Network ("PLAN")). If your wireless provider has chosen to
participate in CMAS/PLAN, alerts are available while in the
provider's coverage area. If you travel outside your provider's
coverage area, wireless emergency alerts may not be
available. For more information, please contact your wireless
provider.

- unless the driver has assessed the driving conditions and is
confident that the secondary task will not interfere with their
primary responsibility. Do not engage in any activity while
driving a moving vehicle which may cause you to take your
eyes off the road or become so absorbed in the activity that
