  • Page 3 Display The display of the ‘ART V2’ is a vacuum fluorescent display that is emitting a red or blue light, depending on the fitting. In rooms with low ambient light best results will be achieved.
  • Page 4 Please allow the ‘ART V2’ to adapt to the climatic conditions in your room after transport. As known for every optical device low temperature and humidity may cause it to be covered with condensation. Leave the top of the ‘ART V2’ open for several hours before switching on the first time after transport.
  • Page 5 The ‘ART V2’ should be placed onto a high quality rack or stable table. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Do not place the ‘ART V2’ close to loudspeakers or in a corner of the room because in this places the maximum sound energy is to be found.
  • Page 6 Analog outputs The analog outputs located at the back panel of the ‘ART V2’. They provide the music in analog format. Connect your ‘ART V2’ to a pre or main amplifier using high quality cinch connections. The digital to analog conversion unit is equipped with a digital signal processor (DSP) which is used for oversampling filter calculations.
  • Page 7 If you are using the ‘ART V2’ as CD player, i.e. using only the analog outputs, you can completely switch off the digital outputs by setting the switch ‘Outputs’ to position ‘off’.
  • Page 8 The display at the front lightens up and shows ‘disc’. Push the top to the back and put a CD onto the spinning axis of the ‘ART V2’. Fix it with the provided stabilizer. Then close the top and the ‘ART V2’ automatically reads the information track of the CD and displays number of tracks and total playing time.
  • Page 9 The following functions are accessible with the corresponding buttons of the remote control: 0...9 Use buttons to select and play back a title directly. Starts playback immediately. Pushing this button during playback ñ restarts the actual track at its beginning. Skip to the next or previous title.
  • Page 10 ‘play’ button to start the playback of the CD. The playback starts with silence for 4 seconds to ensure that the blank space at the beginning of each tape is skipped. When the playback for side A is finished, the ‘ART V2’ returns to pause state.
  • Page 11 Tuning Nowadays interested listeners experience tonal differences in using different analog, digital and power cords. In order to increase the value of your ‘ART V2’ you have the opportunity to use high performance signal cords. We strongly recommend using them. Also the musical experience is influenced by the use of high quality power cords and power supply filters.
