Mute the Ringing Sound

You can mute the ringtone without rejecting the call by doing one of the following.
● Press the Volume key down.
● Place the phone screen-down on a level surface. See
including the Mute/pause motion to mute incoming calls by turning over the phone.
● Cover the screen with your hand. See

Reject an Incoming Call

When you reject a call, the caller is sent to voicemail, where they can leave a voice message.
When you are actively using your phone, the incoming call displays on the Edge screen. When your
phone is inactive, the incoming call appears on the main screen.
To reject a call from the Edge screen:
■ When your phone notifies you of an incoming call, drag

Reject an Incoming Call with a Text Message
You can reject an incoming call by sending a text message to the caller.
When you are actively using your phone, the incoming call displays on the Edge screen. When your
phone is inactive, the incoming call appears on the main screen.
Note: You can only reject an incoming call with a text message from the main screen. If your incoming
call appears on the Edge screen, tap
