By connecting the camera directly to a printer that supports PictBridge with the USB cable, you can print pictures stored on the card inside the camera without a need to use a computer.     2 Direct printing Using the direct printing function By connecting the camera to a PictBridge-compatible printer with the USB cable, you can print out recorded pictures directly without the use of a computer. With the camera connected to the printer, select the pictures you want to print and the number of prints on the camera’s monitor.

    Connecting the camera to a printer Use the USB cable provided to connect the camera to a PictBridge- compatible printer. Turn the printer on and plug the printer end of the USB cable into the printer’s USB port. • For details of how to turn the printer on and the position of the USB port, refer to the printer’s instruction manual.

    Trim the picture To set the trim by MORE in PRINT or MULTI PRINT mode (P. 9), follow the procedure below. Use the arrow pad and zoom lever to select the trimming position and size. • Use the zoom lever to decide the trimming size.

If the trimmed picture size is small, printing magnification Note increases accordingly, resulting in a printed picture with lower resolution. • For best results with close-up prints, you are recommended to use the TIFF, SHQ or HQ mode.

    Exiting direct printing When you have finished printing, disconnect the camera from the printer. In the PRINT MODE SELECT screen, select b. • The message is displayed. Press the power switch to turn the camera off. Remove the USB cable from the camera.
