10. Install the base cover assembly
11. Install the battery pack. See "Replacing the battery pack" on page 59.
12. Turn over the computer and connect the ac power adapter and all cables.

Replacing the optical drive

Before you start, print these instructions. Read the Important safety information first. See "Important
safety information" on page vi.
To replace the optical drive, do the following:
1. Turn off the computer, then disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer.
2. Remove the battery pack. See "Replacing the battery pack" on page 59.
3. Remove the screw that secures the optical drive.
4. Remove the optical drive.
