To allow apps to run in the background
1. From the App List, touch
2. If necessary, swipe over to usage.
3. Touch an app
4. Touch and drag the Allow app to run in the background
slider to the right to turn the option On.
Note: This option does appear for some apps.
To allow apps to run in the background even when Battery
Saver is on:
Touch the Allow this app to run in the background even
when Battery Saver is on check box.
For an explanation of the Battery Saver settings screen, see
"Battery Saver" on page 144.

Calculator

The Calculator application provides basic arithmetic
functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
You can also store numbers in memory.
1. From the App List, touch
2. Enter the first number using the numeric keys.
3. Enter the operation for your calculation by touching the
corresponding onscreen arithmetic function key.
4. Enter the second number.
5. To view the result, touch equals (=).
In Portrait Mode, the Calculator application provides basic
functions. To perform more complicated calculations:
Rotate the phone to Landscape Mode.
A scientific calculator displays.
