    Downloading software updates may involve the transmission of large amounts of data through your service provider's network. Contact your service provider for information about data transmission charges. Make sure that the device battery has enough power, or connect the charger before starting the update.

    Connect the charger to a wall socket. Connect the charger plug to the charger connector in the phone. If the battery is completely discharged, it may take a few minutes before the charging indicator appears on the display or before any calls can be made. The charging time depends on the charger and the battery used.

    ■ Antenna locations Your device may have internal and external antennas. As with any radio transmitting device, avoid touching the antenna area unnecessarily while the antenna is transmitting or receiving. Contact with such an antenna affects the communication quality and may cause the device to operate at a higher power level than otherwise needed and may reduce the battery life.

    Offline profile The Offline profile lets you use the phone without connecting it to a network, as indicated by in the signal strength indicator area. All wireless RF signals to or from your phone are prevented, and you can use your device without a SIM or USIM card.
