PLUMBING SYSTEM
Fresh Water
Available in your Jayco folding camper is a
fresh water tank.
1. A tank is located under the floor and is
permanently installed. To fill the tank, open
the lid as shown. (Fig. 4-1A) Insert or hold
the water hose and fill to the desired capac-
ity. The tank has an overflow outlet, but
care must be taken to not overfill it.
CAUTION: Overfilling the tank can
potentially pressurize it and cause leakage.
2. Water may be received into the system
through a direct hookup, referred to as "city
water connection," (Fig. 4-1B) when at-
tached to entry supply and water hose.
3. To fill fresh water fill from city water fill,
open valve located in an interior cabinet
and close when filled. When filled, water
will spill from the overfill valve located on
the side of tank under unit. (Fig. 4-2)
WARNING: Handle should be in the TANK WATER position when
connecting City Water to avoid City Water spill.
4. On campers with a deluxe plumbing package, or shower/toilet options, there is an
additional 12-volt DC demand pump to supply water needs. This device requires 12-
volt DC power from either a deep cycle battery, or a convertor when 120-volt AC
power is available. A 12-volt DC switch is located on the side of the kitchen cabinet
or, if applicable, on the monitor panel. When 12-volt DC power energizes the pump,
it will self-prime and fill water lines and components. When pressure achieves
approximately 40-45 pounds, the pump will shut off and restart when the pressure
drops to 21 pounds. Some cycling of the pump may occur, depending on the volume
of water used. A check valve is located inside the pump to prevent water from
flowing into the supply tank. It is suggested that you turn the 12-volt DC power off
at the switch when using direct water supply. There is no need to consume 12-volt
DC power when it is not required.
