It is assumed that the user of this manual for maintaining and repairing Piaggio vehicles has a basic knowledge of mechanical principles and vehicle repair technique procedures.

The engine must be emptied by draining off the oil through the drainage plug "B" of the mesh pre-filter, flywheel side. Moreover, to facilitate oil drainage, remove the mesh filter and loosen the cap/dipstick "A".
BEVERLY Cruiser 250ie Maintenance Check This operation must be carried out with the engine cold and following the procedure below: 1. Place the vehicle on its centre stand and on flat ground. 2. Undo cap/dipstick "A", dry it off with a clean cloth and replace it, screwing down com- pletely.
BEVERLY Cruiser 250ie Maintenance Oil pressure warning light Warning light (low oil pressure) The vehicle is equipped with a warning light on the instrument panel that lights up when the key is turned to the "ON" position. However, this light should switch off once the engine has been star- ted.
BEVERLY Cruiser 250ie Maintenance Top-up The fluid level inspection should be carried out every 6,000 km when the motor is cold, following the methods indicated below: Place the scooter on its centre stand and on flat ground. - Undo the screw shown in the figure and remove the expansion tank cap on RHS.

BEVERLY Cruiser 250ie Engine Refitting the wheel axle bearing - Support the hub cover on a wooden surface. - Heat the crankcase cover with the specific heat gun. - Fit the wheel shaft bearing with a modular punch as shown in the figure.

BEVERLY Cruiser 250ie Engine Refitting the hub cover bearings For the fitting of the hub box bearings the engine crankcase and the cover must be heated with the special heat gun. - The three 15 mm bearings must be fitted using the appropriate tools.

BEVERLY Cruiser 250ie Engine Refitting the hub bearings - Install the three shafts in the engine crankcase as shown in the figure. Refitting the ub cover - Fit a new gasket together with the centring dow- els. - Seal the gasket of the breather pipe using black silicone sealant.
