Activating the child-proof lock
By simultaneously applying the MINUS sensor (of the left cooking zone at the double cooking
plate) and the DUAL-CIRCUIT sensor and holding them for ca. 3 seconds, the whole control
will be locked. An "L" in the display and a signal tone indicate the active locking as soon as a
sensor is applied.
Deactivating the child-proof lock
For deactivating the lock and for realising all sensors, the MINUS sensor and the DUAL-CIRCUIT sensor
must be again simultaneously applied and held for ca. 3 seconds. A signal tone is audible, the indication
"L" distinguishes.
Afterwards, the previous setting or "H" for residual heat appears and all sensors can be operated again.
Switching-off by means of the ON/OFF sensor while the child-proof lock is active
If the control is completely switched off by means of the ON/OFF sensor while the child-proof lock is active,
all displays distinguish but the residual heat indication "H" might glow.
Switching the appliance on again is only possible after deactivating the child-proof lock (see above)!
After pulling the mains plug, the child-proof lock will not be active any more!
Tip: Apply the DUAL-CIRCUIT sensor twice, then apply the MINUS sensor additionally so that the desired
setting remains.

Operating time limitation

The operating time limitation causes an automatic switch-off of a cooking zone if the setting has not
been changed for a certain period of time. The periods of the operating time limitation depend on the set
cooking level. You can see the respective values in the following chart "Cooking level parameters".
After an automatic switch-off, the cooking zone can be switched on anew and the max. operating time is
active again.

Error code

The electronic control features many internal monitoring functions. Thus, there is an automatic self-
adjustment of the sensors to the ambient conditions also in off mode.
The glass surface above the sensors must never been covered.
Attention: At extreme extraneous light, darkening or if the sensors are covered with a light
object, an adjustment is not possible. The display shows the error code "F" and a signal tone
is audible. The power supply is cut or the control is switched off. As long as there is an error,
the unit can not be switched on again.
Self-help: Remove objects from the glass surface. If necessary, disconnect the appliance shortly from the
mains (via plug or fuse) and connect it again. Afterwards, the cooking plate can be operated again.
