HV Battery Pack Recycling


The HV battery pack is recyclable. Contact either your Toyota Distributor as mentioned on HV
battery Caution Label (see page 29) or the nearest Toyota dealer.

Auxiliary Battery


The AVALON Hybrid contains a sealed lead-acid 12 Volt battery. This 12 Volt auxiliary battery
powers the vehicle electrical system similar to a conventional vehicle. As with other
conventional vehicles, the negative terminal of the auxiliary battery is grounded to the metal
chassis of the vehicle.

The auxiliary battery is located in the trunk. It is concealed by a plastic resin cover on the
passenger side in the rear quarter panel well.
