[12] PTO GEAR CASE

Disassembling PTO Gear Case
1. Remove the PTO change switch (23) and ball (24).
2. Remove the PTO case cover mounting screws (1) and reamer
screw (8) then remove the PTO gear case cover (2).
3. Remove the stake of the staking nut (9), and then remove it.
4. Remove the bearing (10) by using the bearing puller.
5. Tap out the PTO shaft (21) to the rear side.
6. Remove the gears (12), (16), thrust collars (11), (18), inner rings
(13), (17), hub (14) and shifter (15).
7. Pull out the PTO gear shaft (5).
8. Remove the PTO shift fork parts and PTO shift lever parts.
(When reassembling)
• Direct the grooves of thrust collars (11), (18) to the inner rings
(13), (17) sides.
• Replace the PTO shaft staking nut (9) with new one, and stake
it firmly after tightening.
• Apply molybdenum disulfide (Three Bond 1901 or equivalent) to
the inner rings (13) and (17).
• Apply grease to the oil seal (22) and O-ring (30).
• Do not loose the ball (24) and (28).
• Tighten the reamer screw (8) first at original position, when
assemble the PTO gear case cover.
• Assemble the PTO gear case (7) with TB1208D or TB1206C or
equivalent.
