I have two CNG cylinder permanently at the back of my boot which weigh about 150kg. Does it exceed the recommended weight? And will it affect my gearbox?

The 2005 Toyota Corolla has specific weight limits, including the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and cargo capacity. The manual states that the total load, including passengers and cargo, must not exceed the GVWR. If adding two CNG cylinders totaling 150 kg reduces the remaining capacity for passengers and cargo significantly, it may exceed safe limits.
Regarding the gearbox, while the manual does not explicitly mention CNG conversions, additional weight can affect vehicle performance, including acceleration, braking, and transmission strain. If the total load remains within the recommended limits, the gearbox should function normally. However, exceeding weight limits or improper installation could lead to mechanical issues.

Need help?
Do you have a question about the 2005 Corolla and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
