    Programming the Remote Control The remote control is set at the factory to control all of the satellite receiver functions, but to use it to operate your TV, DVD, VCR and auxiliary components as well, you must "program" it for the brand you own. Follow these instructions to program the remote to control your TV, DVD, VCR and auxiliary (AUX) components.
