Function Keys
On the top row of the keys are the function keys:
keys are multi-purpose keys that perform functions defined by
individual programs.
Hot key functions are assigned to
computer. (See "Hot Keys" section in this chapter for information.)
Fn. Key
Fn.
The
key, at the lower left corner of the keyboard, is used with
another key to perform the alternative function of a key. The letter "Fn."
and the alternative functions are identified by the color of blue on the
keycap. To perform a desired function, first press and hold
press the other key.
Hot Keys

Fn+F1
Toggles Keyboard backlight.
Fn+F3
Decreases the speaker volume.
Fn+F4
Increases the speaker volume.
Fn+F5
Decreases the LCD brightness.
Fn+F6
Increases the LCD brightness.
Fn+F7
Toggle LCD Backlight On/Off.
Fn+F8
Switches LCD on and off.
