To replace the battery cables on a 2007 Ford F-650 dual battery system:

1. Safety First: Ensure the vehicle is off and wear protective gloves and eyewear.
2. Locate the Batteries: The vehicle has two or three maintenance-free batteries mounted in a covered tray on the left frame rail.
3. Remove the Cover: Pull up and move the two rubber straps to the side to remove the battery cover.
4. Disconnect the Cables:
- Start with the negative (-) cables first to prevent short circuits.
- Then disconnect the positive (+) cables.
5. Remove the Old Cables: Carefully detach the cables from the battery terminals and any grounding points.
6. Install the New Cables:
- Connect the positive (+) cables first.
- Then connect the negative (-) cables, ensuring a solid ground connection.
7. Secure the Battery Cover: Reinstall the cover and rubber straps properly.
8. Test the Connection: Start the vehicle and check for proper operation.

Ensure the cables are routed away from moving parts and heat sources.
