  • Page 2 TO THE READER This WORKSHOP MANUAL has been prepared to provide servicing personnel with information on the mechanism, service and maintenance of ZD21N-EC, ZD21-EC and ZD28-EC KUBOTA ZD Series Zero Turn Mower. It is divided into two parts, “MECHANISM” and “SERVICING” for each section except “ENGINE” section.

CHECK AND MAINTENANCE CAUTION • Be sure to check and service the machine on a flat place with engine shut off, the parking brake on and chock the wheels. [1] DAILY CHECK To prevent trouble from occurring, it is important to know the condition of the machine. Check the following items before starting.

Daily or after every 5 hours of operation, check to be sure the radiator screen and radiator core are clean.

    ZD21N-EC, ZD21-EC, ZD28-EC, WSM G GENERAL Cleaning Air Cleaner Element 1. The air cleaner uses a dry element, never apply oil. 2. Do not touch the filter element except where cleaning is required. To clean the element, use clean and dry compressed air on the inside of the element.

Keep open sparks and flames away from the battery at all times, especially when charging the battery.
