On the home screen, touch and hold an empty area of the screen, and then tap

Tap Short press or Long press.
3.
Tap a letter. If necessary, tap Edit shortcut.
To set a shortcut to open an app, tap Open app.
To set a shortcut to call a contact, tap Speed dial.
To set a shortcut to send an email or a text message to a contact, tap Send message.
To set a different shortcut, tap All shortcuts.
Tip: You can also assign a shortcut to an unassigned key by pressing the key while the home screen is showing.
Turn off short-press keyboard shortcuts
By default, when you type on the physical keyboard from the home screen, your device uses short-press keyboard
shortcuts. You can change your settings so that typing on the physical keyboard either does nothing or starts a search in
the BlackBerry Device Search app.

Scroll with keyboard shortcuts
In some apps, you can use shortcuts on the physical keyboard to scroll through lists (such as your messages in the
BlackBerry Hub), email, or documents.
In an app, do any of the following:
To go to the bottom of a screen, press B.
To go to the top of a screen, press T.
To scroll down on a screen, press the Space key.
Note: These shortcuts aren't available in all apps.
