The electric moffat cooker lights up when switched on and the fan is working. There is very little heat being emitted. A couple of times I kept the oven on for 10 mins but only lightly warming the oven.

Possible causes of low heat emission in a Moffat MSF 616 electric cooker include:
1. The thermostat control knob may not be set correctly. 2. The correct oven function may not be selected. 3. The appliance may not be properly pre-heated. 4. Improper cookware (such as bright or shiny utensils) may reduce heat transmission and browning. 5. The oven may not be installed correctly or may have ventilation issues.
Check that the correct settings and equipment are used, and ensure proper installation.

To prevent the formation of too much smoke in the oven during roasting, it is a good idea to pour a little water into the dripping pan and—to prevent steam—to add a little bit more during cooking if the original amount dries up too much.
Cooking Chart The oven temperatures are intended as a guide only. It may be necessary to increase or decrease the temperatures to suit individual preferences and requirements. Cooking times in the tables do not include pre-heating. A short oven pre-heating (about 10 minutes) will then be necessary before any cooking.
Grilling Chart Cooking time depends on the thickness of the meat and not on its weight. The oven temperatures are intended as a guide only. It may be necessary to increase or decrease the temperatures to suit individual preferences and requirements.
Never use steam or steam machines to clean the appliance. The oven should be kept clean at all times. A build-up of fats or other foodstuffs could result in a fire, especially in the grill pan.
