The context does not provide a direct answer to why the foot pedal is not working on your Singer Touch-Tronic 2001. However, it mentions that the power cable for this machine has five connections instead of the usual two, which may indicate a unique wiring setup. If the foot pedal is not working, possible reasons could include a faulty power cable, a damaged foot pedal, or an issue with the machine’s motherboard. Checking the connections, testing with a different compatible foot pedal, or consulting a technician may help diagnose the problem.

I've threaded the machine and wound the bobbin. As I'm trying to sew, the bottom side of the stitch is a tangled mess. I believe this is because I did something wrong either threading or doing the bobbin. Any help would be appreciated.

A tangled bottom stitch on a Singer Touch-Tronic 2001 sewing machine could be caused by incorrect threading of the upper thread, incorrect bobbin winding, or tension issues. If the thread is not passed through the correct path or tension is not properly set (too loose or too tight), it can lead to tangling. Also, if the bobbin is not wound correctly or exceeds the outer ring, it can affect stitch quality.
