Use the correct tool for your application. The correct tool will do the job better and safer when it is used at the rate that it was designed to work at.

SAFETY INFORMATION • In a double insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No method of grounding is provided on a double insulated appliance, nor should a means for grounding be added to the appliance. Servicing a double insulated appliance requires extreme care and knowledge of the system, and should only be done by qualified service personnel.

SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES • Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. When using an extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the current your product will draw. A wire gauge size (A.W.G.) of at least 14 is recommended for an extension cord 50' (15 m) or less in length.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS ASSEMBLE AS A BLOWER 1. Slide blower tube forward until the notched areas on the blower housing click into the slots on the tube. (see Fig. 4) 2. Insert the concentrator nozzle onto the regular nozzle to lock (see Fig. 4) . (Concentrator nozzle is used to increase air flow in tight areas: flower beds, under decks, etc.).

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS POWER CORD Use a minimum 25 ft (7.6 m) long, 16 AWG outdoor electrical cord when using this unit. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CONNECTING THE POWER CORD (See Figure 6.) 1. Secure the extension cord to the motor housing using the notch at rear of blower. This prevents accidental removal of the electrical cord. 2. Plug the female end of the electrical cord into the receptacle at the back of the unit. Fig.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS STARTING/STOPPING THE BLOWER/MULCHER (See Figure 6-7.) This unit is equipped with a three-way (OFF/ LOW/ HIGH) switch • Slide the switch forward for ON. • Slide the switch forward to the first position for LOW speeds up to 150 MPH (241Kph).

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS HOLDING THE BLOWER/MULCHER Before operating the unit, stand in the operating position. Check for the following: • Operator is wearing proper clothing, such as boots, safety glasses or goggles, ear/hearing protection, gloves, long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. WARNING To avoid serious personal injury, wear goggles or safety glasses at all times when operating this unit.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS AIR VENTS Never cover air vents. Keep them free of obstructions and debris. They must always remain clear for proper motor cooling. WARNING To avoid serious personal injury, do not wear loose-fitting clothing or articles such as scarves, strings,chains, ties, etc., that could get drawn into the air vents.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS SERVICING DOUBLE-INSULATED UNITS This unit is double insulated. In a double-insulated unit, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. There is no grounding provided, and no means of grounding should be added to this unit. Extreme care and knowledge of the system is required when servicing a double-insulated unit.
