Keep small children away when assembling. Remove and dispose of all protective material and poly bags before assembly.

    User Requirements Age Range 3 to 7 years Weight Range No more than 50 lbs (59kg) Before using the Viper the child should understand the vehicle controls and safety issues. They must also demonstrate the capability to handle the vehicle and operate its controls. It is the responsibility of the adult to educate the child and supervise the vehicles use.

    Charging the Battery: Warnings WARNING! The following safety hazards may result in serious injury or death to the user of the Viper: • Use of a battery or charger other than the supplied KidTrax Toys 6V rechargeable battery and charger may cause a fire or explosion. Only use the supplied KidTrax Toys 6V rechargeable battery and charger with the vehicle.

Never open the battery. • Tampering or modifying the electric circuit system may cause a shock, fire or explosion and permanently damage the system.

    Before you begin assembly, be sure you have all parts, hardware and tools needed for assembly. Remove all packaging from the parts. Tools required: Phillips head screwdriver or power drill Parts List: 1. Viper body, includes: KidTrax 6 volt battery, wheels and motor 2.

    Connect the Battery Note: You will only need to connect the battery to the motor one time, unless you are removing the battery. See page 19 for battery removal. 1. Attach the red wire connectors located in the seat well, next to the battery.

    Assembly Attach the Dashboard 1. Attach the wire connectors coming from the hole in the car body to the wire connector coming from the bottom of the dashboard. 2. Align the tabs on the front of the dashboard with the slots on the car body, and slide the dashboard into place.

    Insert the Steering Rod It’s easiest to accomplish this step with the Viper tipped slightly to it’s side. 1. Remove the screw and nut from the steering wheel, and keep it close by, you will need to hold the steering rod in place. 2.

    Attach the Steering Wheel 1. Hold the steering rod, and remove the screw from the end of the steering rod. 2. While holding the steering rod, orient the steering wheel so the tab at the top of the steering wheel base aligns with the slot in the steering wheel opening.

    Vehicle Controls Important! Before using the Viper for the first time the battery needs to be charged for a full 24 hours. Only an adult who has read and understands the safety warnings should handle, charge or recharge the battery. Read the Assembly and Maintenance sections before use of the vehicle.

    Maintenance General The vehicle should be checked for damage, missing or badly worn parts before use. • Check the tightness of the fasteners before each use. • Ensure the battery bracket is securely in place before use. • Occasionally use lightweight oil to lubricate moving parts such as wheels and steering linkage.

    The battery should be charged after each use, or if not used regularly, once a month at a minimum. Charge the battery for a full 24 hours. Do not charge the battery for more than 30 hours. Failure to charge the battery as directed would cause permanent damage to the battery and will void the warranty.
