To drain fuel from the Sportsman GEN4000DF generator, follow these steps:

1. Turn the fuel valve to the “off” position and let the engine run until it stops.
2. Remove the fuel filter cup.
3. Empty the fuel filter cup of any fuel.
4. Place a receptacle underneath the generator to catch the draining gasoline.
5. Turn the fuel valve to the “on” position and allow all gasoline to drain.
6. Turn the fuel valve back to the “off” position.
7. Replace the fuel filter cup.
8. Store the drained gasoline in a suitable place.

For extended storage, also drain the carburetor by turning the fuel valve to the “off” position while the engine is running. The generator will shut down when all the gasoline in the carburetor is used.
