DANGER: Electric shock resulting in death
The electric motor of the rotisserie is operated by a 230 V voltage supply. There is a risk of
electric shock if the following safety instructions are not observed.
For your own safety:
The electrical connection and the requisite safeguards must be carried out in
accordance with the local regulations of the EVU or the VDE as appropriate.
•
Only insert the mains plug of the motor into an earthed and properly installed 230
V socket.
•
When establishing the connection make sure that the connecting cable does not
come into contact with hot parts of the barbecue or any kind of moisture (e.g. pud-
dles) and that nobody can trip over the cable. Protect the connecting cable from
heat, oil and sharp edges.
•
To increase safety we recommend installing an FI switch with a current leakage of a
maximum of 30 mA between the socket and mains plug. Check that the FI switch is
functioning before each use.
•
The length of the connecting cable may only be increased using an H05VV-F or
H05RN-F extension cable. The coupling of the extension cable must be protected
from splashing water, be made from rubber or be rubber-coated.
•
If the connecting cable is damaged, it must not be plugged into the electric socket.
Do not attempt to repair the connecting cable yourself but rather entrust this to a
specialised electrician. The same applies to any extension cables used.
•
Protect the motor from moisture. Unplug the mains plug immediately if it starts to
rain.
•
Never touch the mains plug with wet hands!
When using the rotisserie burner pay attention to the following
•
Never use the rotisserie burner together with the main burners, as the extreme heat
generated will cause damage to the barbecue.
•
Always remove the warming rack before using the rotisserie burner, otherwise it
will become damaged by the heat.
If you want to grill larger quantities of food on the rotisserie, it may be necessary to
remove the grill.
•
Do not overload the rotisserie with too much meat (max. 5 kg). This can cause dam-
age to the rotisserie, the rotisserie mount and the electric motor.
•
Before you insert or remove the rotisserie, extinguish the flames on all burners
(turn all flame regulators to "Off") and turn off the motor. Otherwise you may burn
or injure yourself on the rotating, sharp-edged skewer.
