First of all, many thanks for purchasing this Sweex Pretty Pink MP3-player. With this compact MP3 player you can enjoy your favourite music in MP3
and WMA formats, wherever you are.
To ensure this product operates correctly, we advise you to carefully read this manual first. If despite this manual you still experience problems during
installation or operation of this product, go to www.sweex.com and look under the heading service & support.
In order to fully enjoy the MP3 player for many years, it is important you adhere to the following:
• Do not leave the MP3 player in direct sunlight or in the direct vicinity of radiators. Avoid ambient temperatures exceeding 39°C.
• Remember that the temperature in a locked car exposed to the sun can easily reach 50°C or more.
• Do not use the MP3 player in extremely dusty or moist surroundings.
• Protect the device against powerful shocks or jolts - they may damage the internal electronics.
• Never attempt to open the device yourself - it will cause the warranty to lapse.

Prior to using the MP3 player, check if all required parts are present. The following parts must be present in the box:

• Earphones
• USB cable
• Battery
• CD-ROM with manual and drivers

  • Page 3 Fitting the battery The Sweex MP3 player uses a 1.5 volt AAA battery. Follow these instructions to fit the battery: remove the USB cover and slide the battery cover on the back of the MP3 player downwards. Fit the battery and slide the battery cover back in its slot. Replace the USB cover.
  • Page 4 Switching the MP3 player on and off Press and hold the Play/Pause button (Play/Pause button) for 2 seconds in order to switch on the Sweex MP3 player. The text “Sweex” will appear in the display. After 2 seconds the main menu appears detailing information on, among other things, the number of tracks, equalizer settings, battery status and the playtime of the selected track.

As soon as battery capacity becomes too low, the battery icon in the display will start to blink. Locking b uttons To prevent accidental activation of a button whilst playing, all buttons can be locked by means of the HOLD switch.
  • Page 6 English version Recording and playback of voice It is also possible to record speech with the Sweex MP3 player. The Sweex MP3 player features a built-in microphone to record sound. Follow this procedure to start a sound recording: Press the menu (menu) button in order to access it. Select the Record option. The device starts to record immediately. The display now shows the file name (e.g.: /VOICE/V007.WAV).
