5. If location sharing is disabled, press
sharing.
6. In the Friends list, touch your name.
7. Touch to select one of the following options: Check in to add your location to your
location history, Location history to view your location history, or Location settings to
manage the reporting and sharing of your locations.

Local

Google Local uses your location to help you find nearby destinations, such as restaurants, bars,
hotels, attractions, ATMs and gas stations, or you can enter a location. The Local service is
accessible through the Google Maps app. See

Using Google Local

2. Choose from the following options:
Touch Local or the displayed location to choose a different location.
Touch to choose Restaurants, Cafes, Bars, or Attractions. In the IN THIS AREA
section, choose a sub-category.
To search for a specific location, touch the search icon and enter a search term.

Navigation

Navigation is another Google Maps application available on your phone. It uses your current
location to provide turn-by-turn guidance to your destination.
Enable Location Services on Your Phone
Before using any location-based services, you must enable your phone's GPS location feature.
