Note: Use only original chargers approved for use with this particular
model. The use of any other types may be dangerous, and will invalidate the
product warranty.
To charge the phone battery:
1. Connect the charger to an AC wall outlet.
2. Open the I/O slot cover of the phone.
3. With the triangle symbol on the charger plug facing upwards, connect the
power cord from the charger to the I/O slot.
4. The battery indicator bar on the phone starts scrolling and the red light on
the charger is lit. It may take several minutes before the battery indicator
bar appears on the screen. Note that you can use the phone while it is
charging.
5. When the battery is fully charged, the bar stops scrolling. To stop
charging the phone, disconnect the charger from the phone, and then
from the AC outlet.
Note: Charge the battery for at least 12 hours before using the phone for the first
time.

2.3 Switching the phone on or off

To switch the phone on or off, press and hold the Power key.
After it is switched on, the phone goes through various start-up stages while
it is loading software.
During the start-up, you may need to enter a PIN (Personal Identity
Number) to activate the services in your phone:
